As a high school student, Nichole would spend her days after school working at her mother’s salon. Her mom had three different shops, including one near Erskine Hawkins Park (Note: This photo was taken at the salon on Bush Blvd in Bush Hills) She worked there unofficially; she did not have a license so she helped wash, unroll, and prep.
